XC Skis, Road/Mtn Bike, Canoe, Kayak needed by Japanese Team

Ski to Sea 2008, Tateyama Team

We are also still in need of a participant to cross country ski.

Tateyama will be sending over a Ski to Sea Team, and we need several host families for them. Equipment needs: Cross country skis/poles/boots, Road bike, Canoe, Mt. Bike and a Sea Kayak. We are also still in need of a participant to cross country ski.

Seven to nine host families would be ideal. If volunteers can only commit to part of the visit, please let us know and arrangements can be made. There are three women who would like to stay with the same host, if possible.

Wednesday, May 21:Arrive Vancouver at 10:45 a.m. BSCA will pick up.
(Host family responsible for p.m. meal)

Thursday, May 22: Free day*

Friday, May 23: Trip to Mt. Baker for guests. Transportation to and from Mt. Baker and box lunch for guests provided by BSCA. Host family may need to bring guests to central location. Potluck for guests and host families. Location TBD.

Saturday, May 24:Practice route in a.m. Parade. Free evening*

Sunday, May 25:Race (Host family may need to bring guests to central location.)

Monday, May 26:Luncheon for guests and host family. Location TBD. Free evening*

Tuesday, May 27: Leave Vancouver at 12:45 p.m. BSCA will bring to airport.

*BSCA members may be available to assist with transportation or entertainment needs during the free time.
