A friend and I hiked the course this morning. Just thought I'd pass along this information for others who are heading up to preview the course.

We were advised by an employee near the lodge to go up the boot track and back down North Face because there is still construction at the top and on the "back side" (the way down). The boot track is well established; we could see it from near the start. Snow conditions were soft enough to kick in a little. There is definitely still con/destruction going on at the top. It looks like they made a path to get through, which dips down a few feet where the chair 1 lift used to end, and then climbs back up on the other side. This morning that path was almost completely dirt, and there was an enormous bulldozer pushing something around, so we turned around at that point and skied down the North Face. I'm guessing they'll cover it with snow for race day?
