Hi, I'm doing my first s2s this year, and I'm wondering what people find is the best method for carrying your skis/poles up the climb. From the list of disallowed items, it looks like we are not allowed to strap them to our backs in any way. Can we lash the skis and poles together?

Best thing to do is build up one's arm and shoulder stregnth, along with the legs and lungs, and be ready to carry your skis and poles in hand. Some do not use poles, but I think they are worth taking up with you. No, I do not think we can strap our skis & poles together, nor do I think that would help at all.
